The Skinny on Fatty Acids

DHA and EPA are naturally occurring omega-3 fatty acids found in fish such as tuna, salmon, mackerel and trout. According to the American Heart Association, healthy people should consume 1 gram per day of Omega-3 fatty acids. People with elevated triglyceride levels should consume 2-4 grams of EPA and DHA per day.
